Weston Park, the magnificent 17th century stately home on the Shropshire \ Staffordshire border opens for the main summer season on Saturday 28th May with a brand new line up of attractions to be enjoyed by all the family.
The Park’s popular Woodland Adventure Playground has eight brand new pieces of interactive and inclusive equipment including ground level trampolines, a nest swing, log swing and at nearly 40 metres one of the country’s longest double zip-wires.
Visitors to the House from Sunday can quite literally put themselves ‘in the picture’ with fun selfie-boards. Gareth Williams, Curator to the Weston Park Foundation comments: "We wanted to create a way to bring the collection to life, enabling our younger visitors to find out more about these wonderful portraits"
Also new this year is the Activity Room which is now full of STUFF! Thanks to the generous support of the Baron Davenport Charity the Education team have been delving into the reserve collection and have given a new home to pieces gathering dust. On display are a wide variety of fabulous 20th century toys that would have provided endless hours of fun for the Bradford family including toy cars, horses and lawnmowers.
Stuff is now home to Weston’s free Spring Craft Activities for children that will take place on weekdays throughout the half-term holiday.
Weston Park opens for the Summer season Saturday 28th May through to Sunday 4th September 2016. House is closed on Saturdays. Park & Gardens admission: Adults £6.50 and Children £3.50. Family ticket is £25 and includes admission to the House.
