A newly-refurbished restaurant in Telford’s Southwater complex has opened its doors for the first time to a packed house.
Four Corners World Buffet, which recently took over from Mimosa in the complex, managed to serve almost 2,000 people over its opening weekend. A dedicated team of chefs worked tirelessly to produce a wide variety of delicious continental food from around the world, including the far east of India, China and Italy.
The opening was hailed a huge success by owner Sham Uddin who has worked extremely hard over the last month, along with wife Laura, to get the restaurant ready for its grand opening. Sham and his team were so busy that they had to increase their stocks of food and drink - even though they thought they had ordered enough to last the whole of their first week.
After the busy weekend Mr Uddin posted on the restaurant’s Facebook page thanking everyone who attended the opening for their support. Mr Uddin said: “As a family-run business we have put our heart and soul into turning this restaurant around and making it unique, and we couldn't have done it without the help, support and dedication of all our staff. “They are the foundation of success at Four Corners and we would like to thank them publicly. “Feeding the number of people we did over this weekend was more than we could have ever asked for, and hearing all the comments makes us realise it was all worth the sleepless nights.” The restaurant’s live stations gave customers the chance to order a dish customised to their unique taste, and for those with a sweet tooth the dessert station where you could order unlimited waffles, pancakes, crepes and hot cookie dough, was a massive hit.
