Telford and Shropshire Master Composters
Our charity brings together thousands of people who share a common belief - that organic growing is essential for a healthy and sustainable world.
Through campaigning, advice, community work and research, our aim is to get everyone growing ‘the organic way’.
Master Composters are volunteers who encourage people in their local community to start composting at home and offer support to people who are already home composting and may be having difficulties or need encouragement. National charity Garden Organic run the programme alongside local councils and waste contractors in geographical project areas around the UK.
We provide:
- Free compost training—you don’t need to be an expert.
- Ongoing volunteer support and local network of like-minded volunteers.
- A wealth of resources
Spread the compost message in your local community and encourage more people to start composting at home. Master Composters generally undertake around 30 hours of volunteering each year.
Training is free and covers the basic elements of home composting and related environmental issues.
