Telford Family Wellbeing Service

The Telford Family Wellbeing Service is a time-limited 12 week intervention to support parents to attend community lead provision and peer support. The core elements of the service are the provision of peer support to a number of parents in the local area, working closely with all children and family locality services, neighbourhood teams, health visiting and school nursing.

We aim to improve parenting across the borough through:

- Parents having the ability to manage their own coping strategies in challenging situations.
- Improved confidence in the parents ability to parent their children.
- Increase in the number of parents accessing universal provisions.
- Parents feeling part of their community.

As a volunteer for the Telford Family Wellbeing Service, you will recieve full training and supervision, a DBS check (paid for by us) as well as work shadowing, groups volunteer sessions and regular contact with the coordinator.
