Tinnitus Support Group Volunteer

Signal Tinnitus Support is looking for people with tinnitus or an interest in tinnitus to help us with our exciting support group projects across the county.
We need dedicated individuals who have a desire to help others by leading and supporting group leaders of Tinnitus Support Groups and Advice Sessions.
Tinnitus affects an estimated 1 in 8 adults in the UK and is set to rise by more than 500,000 in the next 10 years. We are hoping by recruiting a handful of enthusiastic volunteers, we will be able to expand our project across the county and offer more people with tinnitus the support they greatly need.
Full training and DBS checks are provided free of charge, along with travel and other reasonable volunteering expenses.
To be able to commit to regular volunteering.
To have the ability to work independently.
Willing to undertake an induction with Signal.
Willing to attend training courses which includes safeguarding.
Willing to undertake a DBS check.
Have lived experience of hearing loss, Deafness and/or tinnitus.
Opportunity to use lived experience to support other people in a similar position.
Opportunity to develop skills and knowledge of working in the voluntary sector.

Paid training and travel expenses (by agreement) and subsistence for full-day volunteers
