Opportunity Description

We offer support, information, and friendship to people living with Parkinson's, their families, and carers. Support group meetings held on the last Tuesday of every month 1-3 pm. (except Aug) at Hadley Community Centre 30 High Street Hadley Telford TF1 5NL, Telford, TF1 5NL.

Tasks

This is a totally new venture and the person would be given free reign to design the website and the newsletter with input from the committee and the members as to what information they wish to be Imparted on the website and in the newsletters, which would serve as both information for members regarding event and activities and as a portal for new members to understand how the group runs and what we offer.

This volunteer could be based anywhere in the UK, working from home. There would be a requirement to attend any development meetings by Zoom ( or similar) and in person attendance at Telford 3 times a year                                                                                                                                       

Requirements

At present there is no fixed amount of time and days that are required and it is expected that the volunteers after discussion with their volunteer group manager, would be able to work out a schedule of time required. The volunteer hours would vary each week as to what the position is and what the particular volunteer role they are working on.

All expenses, Including any mileage used in own vehicle or train travel tickets are claimed each month. At the current time there is no foreseeable overnight necessities for these roles.
